Default Alternator dramas

Hi,

I need a source for parts for rebuilding a Denso 940 alternator.

I cannot find anyone who sells genuine parts (voltage regulator, brush set and diode bridge)

I have four alternators and only three of them work, it's only a matter of time before the working one quits and I have no parts to fix it

Thanks in advance

Philsky O Flood is the man for that.

There are ebay sellers with the parts. I've bought from the member triodediode and the parts worked well for me. He wasn't the cheapest seller but that's fine.

Did you read this thread? Sources for parts can be found within. At the very least you should be able to get the part numbers and do an AU eBay search.

The high output regulator I bought on ebay is marked IN443-1768-12V. It has a 14.6 set point for nice bright lights and good charging.

Do you have a link for that regulator?

The IN443 regulator has a 14.4 set point. Here is one for sale on ebay. Not a seller I've used. I don't remember who I bought it from. But it's the same one I bought. https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Regulat...IAAOSwTy5fKbf~

I think there is a link for an ebay seller with rebuilt kits with diode packs in the 15A thread about denso alternators.

The parts to rebuild the 1992 940 T Bosch 100 amp alternator on my 88 765 cost more than ordering a reman alternator which is warrantied for the lifetime of the vehicle.
