Mountainmeet 2021: The Return 9/22-9/26/2021 (Wednesday-Sunday)

Thule is staying, pulled it off the '92 and needed a place to put it down.

QSRC will eventually get used on the '92, but not in time for this weekend. Keeping as well.

You mean the interior plastic trim piece that presses down onto the seam of the rocker/floor seam next to the front seat? I'll check the color. The car had blue cloth but I swapped out a lot of random bits to black.

Like the front carpet is blue, but the rear section is black out of a wagon, to cover more of the floor under the rear seat (which was removed forever ago)

If we leave Thursday morning, it's about 8-9hr, so hopefully not much past 6pm after a few stops...

And maybe a Zaxby's? Although Dana should have mine waiting for me when I arrive. What was that bet again?

3am friday would put it at ~18 hours on the road. Hoping for not another 23 hours to SE3.

Battlecat>High Five imo

Currently brick-less but stoked to see everyone and NOT be bringing a rental camry this year! Coop and I will be in at 3pm tomorrow in my E46. I've got an extra tent I'll be bringing as well if anyone ends up needing to borrow one. Can't wait to see you guys!

I text'd MrBill yesterday, he's possibly arriving in a redblock powered vehicle for the first time ever at this meet. I'm holding my breath. (noticed he hadn't posted since Yessss on page 1)

@Jared, do you have a tentative head count for this year?

Getting excited. Filled up the wagon with a full tank and and extra 10 gallons of e85 just in case. I'm gonna try and wash and clean up the car just a bit for the trip. The weather forecast is looking amazing. My dad is going to join us for a night and is riding over on his 2008 Triumph Scrambler. Can't wait to breathe in some cool crisp mountain air.

I believe with local in-and-outs and whatnot, we'll probably peak around 55 people this year.

Shopping (except for the propane fill ups) is officially done.

20lb of bacon.
35lb of BUTTS
35lb of beef
80lb of taters
60lb of corn
Plus a metric ****ton of other stuff.

We're RIGHT on budget for this year. I really wanna say thanks to y'all for chipping in on the food fund. It really makes things easier knowing what we've got to work with.

I'm planning to arrive at the lodge at approximately 3:30pm tomorrow, and crack a beer at about 3:32pm.

And another at 3:47pm.
And another at 4:11pm.
And another at 4:34pm....repeat ad nauseum (hopefully not ad vomitum).

Follow Kyle. He's got the freshest air. MikeJr, 2nd freshest.

Officially on vacation as of 2hrs ago. Tomorrow is packing and relaxing. Then very early morning Thursday, the fun begins!

Exhaust showed up today from Germany. Still trying to get front brakes to show up. Detailer has the car. Scramble on Thursday and leave for halfway with the kid Thursday night.

Yessss I am.
Hoping to get out of here NLT 8am tomorrow. Probably earlier. Hope to roll in by 5-6.
I might make a pitstop in Sylva and order some inner and outer tie rods at an autozone. I'm pretty sure the tires are flat flatspotted from sitting 5 years but there's a minute amount of play in the steering. If it doesn't work itself out on the way down, I'll order a set.
