Default Need advice on painting 1994 940

I have owned my ‘94 940 for nearly 20 years with no intentions to sell it. The car is mechanically in good condition with 228,000 miles but has paint damage (hood, roof and trunk) from the Southern California sun. My question is fixing the areas with paint damage. I took it to two local places who were referred by my mechanic. One place said they could paint and blend the damaged areas at a cost of $3,000 to $3,500 (plus the cost of the windshield moldings which I know are expensive) while the other said the entire car would need to be painted. This is a daily driver so I am trying to figure out a sensible solution and would appreciate any advice on the best course of action or referrals for a local paint shop.

You need a whole respray. It depends on how much work you want to put it. Strip it down of all trim, door handles, front and rear lights. I personally would also remove windshields. Just got one car back from paint. You have to talk a mom/pop type shop not a production shop.
