in process picking up parts for a T5 trans. I have 90 Volvo 240 with newer rebuilt redblock 8v probably 300hp plus. Ive done alot of searching about flywheel options. Some take dogdish and have it machined flat, some buy an older flywheel and some buy new. Just curious what is the best and reasonable option? Getting one machined around here would be near impossible. Sts is out of stock on his flywheels. Is a flat flywheel worth all the extra trouble? I could have a dogdish resurfaced and be done.
I am running megasquirt with the 60/2 CPS, so kinda need the flywheel to be knotched not unless i buy a crank wheel etc. Which with total cost of it would be around 200? Probably not worth the trouble just for a smooth fw. Im just curious what others are doing now days.Willing to be schooled. Thanks for your time.
