M47 Rebuilders - Bay Area

So I found three different M47 part numbers in VIDA. In Volvos system they all changed up to one part number. That part number is "expired" which means no longer available.

^I have a replaced rebuild tag from Volvo M47 w/~60K on it :x:...still oozes a little on the housing (paper gasket/thin warpy housing/no anerobic sealant used :???:)...

Might be easier to install an M46 and the wiring/relay? No thrust load in 5th. Finnicky POS brit-ish (as in ****) OD, but grandmas low mile '79-'82 sedan often made a good donor behind the gutless B21F & 3.71 :1 1st that isn't as *quite* (probably splitting hairs?) much of a worthless stump puller as the M46D used on diesels, 700s, 240Turbos & all 700 manual trans cars as well as all USA M47IIs..most of those donor cars have cycled thru & already hit the crusher by now...

The OD heats the fluid a little more than the 5th gear & british/Volvo electrical routing/wiring is no prize, but for the long haul, I think it's probably the most expedient option on a budget? The mount arrangement is also a bouncy joke on the M46 & the mount/position of the dampened x-member is much better on the M47...figure out how to make it not leak & use a 164 mount or stronger 240 Diesel crossmember IDK? Don't care for the guibo instead of the metal circle flange on M46s...supposedly euro M47s got those with the large rear damper style driveline used on 240Turbos or stronger large drive line on 260s...

M47's pretty light being all alloy, IDK if eric/ian is willing to set it up on a bellhousing of their own to save dimensions on the shipping box and trusts you to shim your bellhousing onto the front of it upon return since they don't have an input shaft housing/similar separate from the Bellhousing like M40/M41/M400M410 or T5?...

Shipping isn't that much from Bay Area to LA for something of that size/cheaper than gas or time if you know how to make a proper crate & can ideally hotsy/steam/coin-op car hot-car wash it off after going to the coin-op with with your weed sprayer of kerosene & brush to get it good and clean so it isn't all greasy and gross...just don't get any strong acidic or basic (lye) soap inside or or corrode anything that should have some corrosion proof grease on it (input shaft/similar inside it?)

Once they get loud enough that it's real noisy in 5th (& all other gears besides 4th, especially 3rd) it usually needs parts that are costly new/borderline non-standard & rebuild becomes borderline cost prohibitive compared to recombining used parts, sourcing a used unit or converting to something else in my experience, do with what you will or maybe you know of other parts sources/methods?
Roulette to spend the time to find that out &/or ship it to the experts/Hiperfauto SVC without a spare/parts trans in the wings/similar...

Lol most transmission shops think 240s only came with automatics.
 Are they wrong?
How many/what % '87+ 240 or 8V 700 N/A are manual in the USA market or aren't hammered with a zillion miles on them still being driven around/roached down in the car, by now?
The auto is a decent Aisin/Toyota copy of the 'merikun Borg Warner 03 mostly that they might vaguely know what to do with / can *maybe* get parts for given how many models (regardless of brand) they were used in for so many years ~1970-2000...
