Default B230 PCV block hose bulge

Hey All

So I tore into my pcv system on my 90 240 and noticed the opening going into the block has a bulge. I got my pinky in there and felt against it and feels strong. No loss of integrity, cracking, brittleness, etc. Is this normal or the happening of some extreme engine conditions?

I dont remember these block hoses ever going into the lower block at a curve but maybe I missed something before. I was able to shine the light in the opening and saw a sliver after the angle of the bottom block/pan area. So its definitely open going down. Ill leave a pic

I'm not sure what you are asking? Those are rubber hoses that get hard and brittle over time. The hose is held in place with a clamp that is bolted onto the oil pump mounting. If you can push a coat hanger wire through the hose then it's probably clear. If it's clogged then I do the pcV mod or you can remove the oil pan and replace the hose. Stealthfti used to suggest that you cut the replacement hose shorter so the oil drops out of the hose earlier and it is harder to clog.

My guess is that the oil drip/drain tube that prevents oil froth from going back up into the breather box is aftermarket. See the top ish tube in the picture.
