The shifter linkage on my Grandmother's '93 AW70 240 broke free from the transmission.

Anyone know where I can source the front (bulbous) part of the linkage?

Part number 381825, and nobody seems to have it any more.
Try the "wanted" section here.

Others have had the same problem...

The straight part is supposed to turn in the bent part to allow for length adjustment of the totally rusty threaded sleeve. You could try "re-peening" it (as mentioned in the above post) after getting a washer or two so it can still spin, or if you're happy where it is/was and will NEVER want to adjust the shift lever ever, ever again, you could just push it back into the hole and weld it solid. (I never said that, so don't blame me for any subsequent length errors).

Grab Eric's assembly, then get the rest of the shift linkage parts from a west coast car. That way, you can get rid of the rest of the rusty mess.
