If I claim this with ICBC. Some light dent to wiper mount.

Go in with ads for other wagons of similar age/mileage/condition to prove the wagon is worth at least 3-4 times the parts price. The icbc value for one of these 240s does not reflect the increase in price due to the hipster bump. They tried to give me 400 bucks for my written off factory turbo 240. I showed pictures and ads for factory glt turbo cars, and my write off went up to 3 grand......
The craigslist orphans thread is a good source for ads
Chapman is a good place to buy overpriced parts.
Empire Parts in abby has an 83 wagon in stock, and it was a front ender. The rear gate in the pic looks fine, if its still there:

Been debating about the mismatch tailgate.

Just saw your post now (after the previous )

The Chapman tailgate is color match.

With ICBC did you buy back volvo or was it a write off in your terms?

Pete

Incidentally, yes. A front sway bar link mounting bolt for a late 740 or 940.

mtd240: I suspect "the wives" have a super-secret forum to discuss whether or not they will let us buy Volvo parts.

Hi Pete,

I talked to Chapman's today about a part. I heard you had come and gone. Glad you got your part.

yea went smoothly,

swapped the tailgate on shortly after i left wasnt happy with my roof rack and straps.

baby blue tailgate is better than plastic window!

also had a blown brake light switch, the chapman provides.

I walked around the yard ... so many 240's

When I was at UBC, my phone number was one digit off of Ralph's. Usually around one call per day looking for some sort of car part.

I don't miss Ralph's. I miss Pick-n-Pull which bought out Ralph's. Much more reasonable people.

Also, 76RA24 is a gentleman. Thanks for dropping off the bolt earlier!
