Default cut a spring to short..............

so i decided to lower my car yesterday i cut 3 coils up front and 2 in the rear. only problem is i accidentally cut one of the front springs abt an inch to short so when i turn its clunking an its pulling my steering to one side is there anyway to keep that loose spring from turn and unseating when i turn the wheel or am i gonna have to get another spring and recut?

Probably going to need new springs, sounds like you cut them too short. 1" variation won't make that big of a difference.

cut the otherside to match, the bumpstops will catch you :P

Had this problem when I did mine last week. Ended up being the camber adjustment at the strut mount was at the inward limit causing the upper spring perch to rub in the strut tower and cause the problem you describe. If your camber adjustment is at the limit try moving it out slightly.

i have some springs on my sideyard, idk if shipping would be cheaper than junkyard prices, but if so let me know and ill give them to you for the cost of shipping.

well thanks for the help but i got it figured out for now the top of the coil popped off the perch and was catching on the strut tower bolts so i re compressed it back into place and welded it to the perch
