Are you serious, did you read the title of the thread?

I need a replacement hood for my 1990 Volvo 760, what other models/years have the same hood?

Pics are for reference for those people that are visual and wondered what a 1990 760 hood looks like

1988-1990 760. 1991 940SE. 1992-1998 960/S90/V90. Mechaniman in Eugene is selling/parting a 1994 960. That car has the correct hood.

This, but I can't confirm that a hood from a 1995-1998 960/S90/V90 will fit. But for sure a 1992-1994 960 will fit.

Yes, they are the same. The fenders, lights, grill and bumpers changed, the hood is the same.

Great info, thanks for the help. Are all of the hoods on those cars aluminum as well?

Seperate question - did all 7xx & 9xx have the same hood hinges (bolts to the hood and to the body of the car), or did some models have a different hinge style?

You don't need to change your hood to accommodate e-codes.

All 740/940 and pre-88 760 have the same hinges while all 88+ 760/940SE/960 have the same (although different from the 740/940) hinges with the hood struts.

Good clarification on not having to change hood for e-codes, thats true. My hood was damaged in a seperate incident after I installed E-codes.

Thanks for the info on the hinges, basically is sounds like the 740 style hood and hinges go together, and the 88+760,960, v90, s90, 91' 940SE go together as a set.

An S/V90 hood would work? You sure? The fenders, grill, and nose configuration changed quite a bit on the 90-series.

One thing is for sure, a 7/940 hood would *not* work. The hood is shorter because the 7/940s have a cowl between the windshield and hood.

To put it to rest once and for all. Here is a 1997 V90 that I used a blue hood from a 1989 760 as a replacement. I pulled the 760 hood at the wrecking yard so I know exactly what it came off. The hoods are all the same as I said in my post above. 1988-1990 760. 1991 940SE. 1992-1998 960/S90/V90.
