Default will this fuel rail work?

Hi guys,

Just wondering if a fuel rail off a 87 740 gle will work on my 91 940t? I don't know if my car has the cold start injector though. I believe it's lh 2.4?

The rails are the same. Cold start injector would be the issue.

It really dont matter. the problem will be if the 740 rail has a cold start and the 940 does not. If the 740 does not have a cold start, and the 940 does, just leave the CS installed and run the rail without it hooked up. It will start just fine.

I need to ask, does it have a 16v since its a gle? Or when did the 16v head come on the cars?

Only cars that had cold start, were the cars that had regina right? I don't know if my 940t would have one.

Good question, The 16v engines only came in the 89/90 GLE cars.

It's the injector under the rail with a blue clip right? If so then my 940t has one.

Yep, not needed....might take a few extra cranks to start. All my intakes delete the CSI. Just leave the injector bolted in and run the rail without.
