Now that the moderator has removed the trolling post. I'd like to ask what fuel management and ignition are they running at 50 pounds of boost on the t6? I know the OEM Motronic is pretty capable.

Thank you for your time and patience.

It appears the dream red block car would use a sequential haltech and a sequential ignition. So I kinda doubt this T6 from across the pond runs Maxx. Looks like not many specifics are going to be shared about the t6 outside of its hp numbers. Finnish doesn't really translate to well to English. Im trying to figure out what a "beak" is in a car?

Jes! 1417HP 3.6bar! Hienosti toimii uusi kansi ja nokat Lensun Petrin T6 Volvon koneessa. Kiitos Petri/Lensu Power Shop luottamuksesta. Kiitos Sami/Autoracing/Catcams avusta nokkien kanssa. Kylläpäs tämä viikko alkoi mukavan voimakkaast

"Jes! 1417HP 3.6bar! The new deck and beaks work well on Lensun Petri's T6 Volvo machine. Thank you Petri/Lensu Power Shop for your trust. Thank you Sami/Autoracing/Catcams for your help with the beaks. This week got off to a nicely strong start."

Does anyone know if it revering to closing the deck on the T6?

I wonder if this is the camshafts used or a custom grind?

Vacmotorsports may have these possibly.

Hubert

Nokka is nokka-akseli : a camshaft
Nokat means nokka-akselit camshafts

Pena vaihto tikkukoneeseen R-nokan

Pena swapped a R camshaft to (in?) push rod Volvo engine.

MaxxEcu is very advanced. Is Scandinavian. Can be run sequential in fuel and ignition.

Are you thinking of MegaSquirt?

No I dont think Maxx is not advanced nor do I have an issue with a mega squirt I just dont think either are as popular over seas and his dream ECU for a redblock is a haltech.... Some of the fastest cars in Finland dont use MS or Maxx either. I sent S&K inquiry maybe they will respond.

I’m pretty sure he doesn’t own that engine. He is just sharing something from his homeland.

But they state cat cams and I don't see a R camshaft I see what I posted "sport" and an OEM comparison to that so I wondered was it a custom grind.

Look here http://www.catcams.com/engines/camshaft-setup.aspx#

Now I understand Hubert was mentioning Haltec. Hadn't read through that thread to know that the OP's desire was a Haltec.

I never assumed or said he owned the engine Jordan but since he said these guys were his friends and he's a huge enthusiast and obviously knows quite a bit about volvos ud assume he'd know something and that most people ask questions....typically if your just showing something with no info about it doesn't land in the high performance section. If you post it here questions will likely be asked. Usually I just let people speak for themselves if they choose to. I dont think it s really relevant if I've posted i sent inquiry directly to sk.... If there is no response its clear to me its proprietary this build. Many people dont tell u exactly what's under they hood especially if they run at a track.

Thanks again Jordan!
Hubert

1a translation
1b translation in plural

2a Example sentence in Finnish
2b Translation to English

Tikkukone is a B 18, B 20 and B30. R cam was popular choice in 70-80 Volvo scene. Pena (nickname for Pentti) is typical Finnish name for boomers.

Whats a boomer Otto?

and....

" Kiitos Sami/Autoracing/Catcams avusta nokkien kanssa."

also the references to decks and beaks is still not so clear because without the additional words it then turns to thank you for the "cover"

TIA
Hubert

I have close relations to Petri Lensu, can ask him when we meet next time.

Boomers are "baby boomers", age group born between 1945-1964.

As far as I know he is using MS3 Pro and custom cams. Lift should be around 10.5mm, can't really remember. He's used 10.5mm lift in milder engines so this could have more.

For the deck I recall he has a machined reinforcement similar to what I use and for example Kaplhenke sells.

Thanks Lankku,
What kind of money are we talking about for the custom ground cams? How long is the expected turn around on a job like closing the deck?

Hubert
