I got everything I needed to start tackling the intake gaskets in the 240 ('89 LH2.4), but ended up with a non-running car. I checked for spark at number 1 and the coil. Neither were giving me anything. I then found out that I no longer have a noid light, so I called it quits for a bit while I researched a few things in the Bentley manual. See my build thread starting at post #174 for some context.

After cooling off for a while, I went back out to check for check engine codes. Nada. Then I checked my throttle switch. 3-3-4 (good to go).

I then checked the crank speed signal. It looks like that is no good either.

This is not too surprising to me given the state of the sensor wiring. However, It sucks that the worst of it is on the harness side.
Has anybody had to repair or replace this shielded harness before? How do you do that? Also, is there anyway to check the sensor with basic tools like a multi-meter and a test light? Thanks!
