Post pics of your Volvo.

Haha, well while you were typing that, I was looking at your build thread and realized it was you!

I really do like it. My car is navy blue, so it would be very subtle in black. I am looking to color match my bumpers, handles, mirrors, etc soon so not sure if this would be something I need or not. But at least now I know who to contact!

Is that blue 744 with gold Hydras the one you speak of? If so, I would like to know what kind of paint he used on them. It's a perfect gold!!

Hi Guys,

New to the forum and to personal Volvo ownership, but my early formative car years from 4-14, were cossetted in the back of 245's, 265's 365 GLT's, and 765 GLE's etc.
Tomorrow I collect my 'NEW' 940. Unfortunately not a Turbo, and this is where I will be really interested in hearing what you have to say. I think this car presents quite a unique opportunity, and let me show you why.
This is a one owner Hong Kong car, and that is where I have moved with my family from the UK a few months ago.

This car has done 18,000 KM from new. Backed up by Volvo Service History. The cambelt was changed in 2006 at 9,000 KM. I guess I will get a cambelt service done again, as it is 8 years since then now. But was wondering if the age related change was as important as the mileage related interval.

I would like to lower it by a few centimeters with proper lowering springs, maybe put additional/thicker anti-roll bars on, put some tasteful inch bigger alloys, to get them flush to the outside and top edge of the wheel arches. But with a NA engine, am I just wasting my time? Should I just keep it 100% stock, do nothing to it at all, and look for something a bit less 'showroomy' to mess about with?
Would love to hear what you have to say.

that is a nice car andy. since it has so few miles, which is pretty unique, i would leave it stock n/a. a really nice set of Hydra rims would look good. don't know if it has the amber indicators at the back. if so you could change them to a later 9 series rear light with clear indicators. maybe an eggcrate grill. that way it would still have that factory look. you could lower it a bit but do it with proper materials and don't do a hackjob on it.

So many shiny volvos.. I think I need to wash mine at least every 10 years :D
