I?m building a squirter block and putting in factory 13mm rods. Need new rod bolts and wondering if it?s worth buying ARP bolts or if I?m good just getting a fresh set of Volvo bolts. If ARP I need help finding some since they don?t seem to have a kit for the b230. Max 15psi, 530 head with N/A pistons, lh2.2/ezk. Not expecting crazy numbers so just wanted some input.

if you are using stock rods. I would stick with stock bolts. If you go with H beams. Get ARP bolts.

Always replace those bolts.

If you use different bolts, with different clamping force (torque specs), then big end of a connecting rod can go out of round!

This is very often overlooked.

Same for the main caps as well. ARP main studs can/will distort the main bearing bores 0.001-0.002" (0.02-.05mm).
