Default Odd no crank issue

81 242 converted to 2.4 m46

Did some cleaning up of the bay while I did a battery relocation to the trunk. "Tucked" the fender wires to the outside as shown, handful of wires were extended (soldered/heatshrinked). The battery is grounded in the trunk on clean bare metal. A new ground was ran from the stock location on the motor mount to a clean area under the d/s frame rail.

Now I haven't touched any of the starting circuit from what I've seen on the wiring diagram. I'm getting no cranking at all. I've got power to the key all the way to the yellow/blue wire on the starter (12v to connector when keya turned over to start). Jumping the starters across the terminals they all spin fine. The gray firewall connector with the 4 wire had all the insulation deteriorated so I slid each connector on and heat shrinked them to eliminate any wiggles

What I've tried:
Different ignition switch
2 other starters one being brand new
Removing the kill switch between the battery and the wire to starter and making it one link to the battery

What am I missing here? I've got power to the starter from the battery and when the keys turned over... Car was perfectly fine beforehand.

You have the yellow/blue wire on the wrong terminal. The starter trigger is the one circled in green.

I must ask you are putting all the wires and some relays under the wing why ?
dose it ever rain where you are
if it dose you will have no end of problems

not to hijack, but totally hijacking - how easy is it to remove the fender and put it back on? PO dented it and I'd like to smack it back out so I can put the belt trim on, figure it'd be easier to do it off the vehicle than on, if possible.

Also make sure you don't have too much resistance to ground or else you might not have enough voltage to kick solenoid forward in starter motor. But I'd guess hiperfauto is more on point

also when relocating the battery to the back it becomes even more critical to use a proper guage (thick!) 12V+ wire.
(Lets assume the starter is 1200Watt. At 12V it means a current draw of 100Amps. That's no joke. The wiring needs to be able to carry that current)

Properly sized ground connections from battery to body AND from body to engine block are also important. That way you minimise voltage drop and the starter will spin fast.
