240 ?81 ?Golde? sunroof crank repair

Did some searching and couldn?t find the answer. What is the screw size for the ?Golde? sunroof crank?

I think one of the slots is stripped? or the screw ls that are in it are the wrong size. The pass side screw doesn?t hold anymore and causes the crank to malfunction.

Any insight?

It's common for the threads in the nut plate to strip. Fortunately they're relatively easy to replace. It's a good idea to use new screws and some thread locker.

It appears the original screws we’re not holding it in. There were both different. One was metric and the other was imp.

That what I got as replacements the one side doesn?t hold at all and I don?t think locktite will work. I may have to tap it to something larger

It's obvious your nut plates are stripped, so if you have the time, why don't you buy new nut plates and screws.

Yup, and BTW, Ken is right, the threads are 4mm x .7.

I checked both threads on the 1 we have in stock.
