B16 electronic ignition
Are there any electronic ignition kits for the B16? It has been changed to 12 volts.

Pertronix works on just about anything as a points replacement.

If I recall correctly the B16 distributors use the same points setup as the early B18 cast iron ones. So a pertronix module should fit just fine.
I'd take apart and lube the distributor and inspect for wear while installing a points replacement. |

I just sold my last cast iron distributor pertronix recently. The part number was 1844.

B16 distributors use different points so I don't think the 1844 will work. VP sells a 2843N6 for the 6 volt cars so I would assume that the 12 volt version 2843 would work.

I did the drop in upgrade in my redblock boat, but then the tach didn't work. Boat runs great!
