960 Volvo 960 Estate 16v '92

Hi, my name is Gerrit and i'm new on Turbobricks.

Recently i have purchased a Volvo 960 Estate with the B204FT Engine in it.

The plan is to get the car as good as new, or a little beter then new.

Here is the beauty:

It looks like you have a great candidate to make it be just like new. I hope the underside and interior are as clean as the exterior.

The underside is also nice, interior has it's age...

Yes the car is original from Italy

Hi Gerrit,
Very nice! Manual or automatic? To shift the M46 for a M90 L2 is a real treat. So much nicer in every way. Black leather interior? How many owners before you? How many km? In terms of corrosion it shows that these cars started there life in sunny Italy. Did you imported it yourself? My 960 (B204FT - sedan '93) is an Italian import too. Good luck with your project!

Both are M46 manual shifted

I've heard of the M90 conversion, friend of mine did it already.
So now i've got 3 M46 gearboxes, going to use these first!

I'm importing the car from the Netherlands, where the second owner drove it for years.
Still going through some import related nonsense

No black interior but light grey in the white. The grey "had" black leathers.
They are now on my workbench

Ran into some problem with tilting the passenger seat.
The motor seems to move only th left side ...
Going tot try and reach the motor

Thanks, this is very helpfull.
Think i found my problem: "Power Seat Back Tilt Jammed"
Going to try and fix it that way.

Still some work under here...
Going to clean the donnor parts and swap them over.
new bushings, new this, new that, rebuild here, clean there.

Nice looking estate. It was quite a ride for the model, starting out as a slightly more prestigious version of 940 to practically being the RWD sister of 850 in the end.

Some other goodness, too. Been lots of fun over 25 years. Restored in 2k. Now ready for a 2nd restoration. 1993 245 Classic, 440k miles, enem V15. IPD bars and chassis braces. Simons sport exhaust from Scandix. sbabbs ezk chip. Been a good road warrior. Genuine Volvo rebuilt leaky M47.
