![]() Is this for a 6V generator?
Can you post pictures of the connections and markings on the regulator?

![]() FYI: Greenbook TP10867-1_1974_140_section_3_electrical.pdf (ozvolvo.org/archive/) has wiring info for several different alternator and external regulator combos. Maybe one of them is close enough to your setup.

![]() Regulator is a Niehoff. Left terminal is ARM center is FLD right is BAT. There is also a large black wire with a eyelet. It looks like it could connect to the ignition switch. Thanks for the help.

![]() I'm not familiar with Niehoff regulators for a generator, but I'd guess the connections should be:
ARM (armature) to generator D+ bolt FLD (field) to generator DF bolt BAT (battery) to battery +12v post directly (not through ignition switch) Black wire to regulator mounting bolt to chassis ground (clean the paint off and/or clean the bolt head) I don't know where the dashboard generator light connects. |
