hi,

Here is my "new" brick: '79 242GT (B23E 405 head+ H CAM 185 tkm) 100% stock. found in a barn where it stood 15 years...doesn't run, really dirty :-(

really rare thing here in Belgium

i'm begining to overhaul and...rebuilding.
  • what is wrong:very huge oil leaks from under the teethbelt cover
  • no start
  • current troubles (due to dampness)
  • in-tank fuel pump not working

the head is in the machine shop for this week

i'm cleaning and cleaning and checking everything i can.
have to work a couple of hours to make it run :)
 
This is an very old thread I made.

My GT has not change to much since I posted the first post:oops:. In the works I have planned is a B230 with the 2.5L crank with a 531 head with larger valves. For cam I'm going to run a AGAP cam with 13mm lift and keeping it N/A with 11:1 CR:cool:
