Default Best brand MAF to buy?

Hello everyone, I need to buy a new MAF sensor for my 90 240 with 2.4. Does anyone have any experience with a reliable aftermarket brand? Thank you for your help in advance!

Have you tried cleaning the MAF with MAF sensor cleaner? That usually brings them back around.

Hi, daniels740, I've sprayed it with MAF cleaner about three years ago. I took it off a day ago and I didn't notice any oil on the screen, but then again, it's probably past due for a spritz. I have a loping idle on a cold start that feels like it is going to stall (but doesn't) with a strong smell of gas and oil inside the cabin. It runs decent once it is warmed up. Tomorrow, I will have to check to see if pins 2 and 3 are between 2.5-4 ohms. I'll also be replacing the cam seal, since the other one got cut slightly and leaking on my repair sleeve.

Thank you, Redwood Chair. There are so many off brands out there, but sticking to Bosch is probably the best. The only other MAF sensor I purchased was for my 91 3.1 which I believe is a spectra premium and runs well.

Or simply cut to the chase and PM swedishiron.

When checking your sensor be sure to test the burn off function. That is what keeps the wire clean.

Thank you, dl242gt. When I find my no start problem, I'll test the burnoff wire since I read that the engine needs to be hot to test. And if it's completely scorched, I'll PM swedishiron like Redwood Chair suggested. Thank you for that nugget of info!
