I've only got $1.95 there, takes $2.50 to get any time around here. Higher standards then Oroville. I guess I could have your alleyway neighbors clean the windshield for half that

Did you end up getting Motronic to control boost through the valve?

I have not tried since the exhaust but thanks for the reminder. Seems the back pressure was stopping anything over 8psi before, I've got a MBC now but would prefer to use the soleniod, gotta recheck the wiring diagrams and put it back on

After some annoying driveshaft vibration I decided to install the BNE torque rods I've had around for months, much easier to adjust and very nice feel in hand.

Along with the torque rods I installed a poly transmission mount, the stock mustang one had quite a bit of bounce to it.

Setting pinion angle I've found myself in a predicament, the 3.5" SN95 driveshaft won't go back onto the diff flange after correcting the angle at this ride height (or anything the springs will reach). It runs right into the area it's been rubbing on in the tunnel. I dropped off my coleman 2.5" shaft for balancing this morning before starting the work so hopefully it's done soon and fits.

Just to ask in case anyone knows, the engine/transmission sits at about -3.5° (down in the back), setting the diff anywhere close (-3.5°, flange up) it won't get close to fitting. I could drop the rear of the transmission some more but how much engine angle is too much?

On a side note I double checked the info i've read about BMW 24v exhaust ports being the same general size and placement, looks good enough to find a manifold that will clear the side of the head

As far as driveline angle, I have my transmission (T5) 3.0 degrees down and my diff only 1.0 degree flange up. Mustang driveshaft, no vibration.

What rear trailing arm bushings/bearing are you running? None under load or decel?

Zero vibration. Tremec has an iphone app that has you set your phone on each angle and it tells you go or no go. Mine was a go. I have super pro poly bushings in the trailing arms and the BNE torque rods.

242 Is back on the road, been too long without it

The poly transmission mount was a bust, way to much vibration at idle. The car sat for two weeks, but is back on the road as of Friday. For the 4th attempt at T5 transmission mounts I used a m46 HD mount and bracket, with a stock M46 cross member. Seems like a good middle ground between firmer then the mustang mount and smoother then the poly mount. With the new mount and driveshaft I was able to raise the rear of the transmission, bringing it closer to -3°, then setting the pinion to -1°, much smoother at any speed/load then before.


Drove it about 300 miles this weekend, loved every second of it

In the Rubixcar? It's got the same coleman shaft you recommend me right? I bet the motor/transmission angle is better with a redblock, depending on cross member choice I guess.

I'm fighting around the motor mounts I made for the swap, was not expecting to have this low of a ride height when I built them.

It has a 2.5 tube from sac driveline but its 47". I dont have vibration issues, but the engine has some on decel around 4k-5kish. Its more exhaust and eng vibration that i can tell.
I keep forgetting about your whiteblock in there.

You could get a flex pipe and go over budget, get given penalty laps but enjoy smoother decel.

The whiteblock is what complicates things, next swap I'll know this stuff beforehand and measure things up better before welding. This car has been a great learning experience.
