Default Valve spring shim size?

Read or heard somebody saying that stainless steel washers work out well to shim stock valve springs. Installing a B cam and springs I have are low miles less than 100000 miles. But would like to shim them to help. Looking what size to use. Thanks

The valve guide diameter is 13.5mm, so you’ll want an ID on the washer that’s slightly bigger than that. Shim the spring so it’s within 1-1.5mm of coil bind at full lift.

When you use valve spring shims, make sure the smooth edges are towards the aluminum, and the sharp edges towards the spring seat. Better yet, debur the sharp edges.
