Possible to swap a lighter B21 flywheel into a B230?

Hi all, I believe I read somewhere that early 240s had 20lb flywheels while the later cars with a B230 came with 32lb flywheels.

I know that LH2.4 requires those crank position sensor notches, but does anyone know if it's possible to swap an early 20lb flywheel into a later LH2.2 car? Seems like this would be a pretty cheap and reliable performance upgrade come clutch-change time if it's possible.

I wouldn?t be asking the question if I was ready to dish out big yoshifab bucks. A b21 flywheel could probably be had for 1/10th that price.

Going rate is $100 shipped or higher.

Might as well dish out the extra cash for nice good race car parts

A flat flywheel on an LH2.2 B230F is how the manual cars were till 87. I got the best mileage of any Volvo I've owned with that setup in the 86 244 manual car I used to own.

We never had LH2.2 here. From what I can see there is no crank sensor so if that is the case then you can use the older flat flywheel.

Just bear in mind you are going down from a 228mm clutch to a 215mm clutch
