I found these today but one has a little gouge. Looks like the tire on it is holding air. What do you think? And what do you think about repairing it. Cost? Process? Worth the junkyard cost?

Seems like a good deal to me. At the dealership I work at they have a guy that comes around and fixes stuff like that pretty quick. I’ve seen him fix way worse. I had the wheels currently on my 240 straightened and he fixed all the curb rash for 200 bucks. If I didn’t work at the dealership it would’ve probably been around 100 bucks per wheel to straighten and clean up minor damage.

That repair is probably going to at lest double the cost of that wheel set unless you have a connection.

Considering I almost bought the really nice set that’s been redone professionally for 1200$, even with the repair it’s about the same as shipping would of cost me from the east coast for the set. Do you think 200$ would fix it?. Worst case I find one more. All kinds of yards down here.I’d be up for filling and grinding. That I could handle I believe.
Thanks for all the input.Ive never had a rim that was damaged so I have no clue what the cost might be

On a shoestring you could bondo it up and sand it down yourself.

I realize you're inquiring about more severe damage, but if it helps any, I had S40 rims straightened at a place called Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists https://www.awrswheelrepair.com a few years ago.
It was $100 each.

Close. Use JB Weld. Clean them up with alcohol and a brass toothbrush and have at it, file and sand. Put a piece of hard plastic behind that notch for a backstop and build it up with 2 or 3 applications.

I've done several wheels this way, the last a set of 19" from an Audi SUV . Guy managed to curb-rash all four, two of them worse than yours. I fixed them up and repainted them, they came out Absolutely Perfect. Gave him a talking-to about cutting corners too close.....

Jb welding it today. I’d like to run these on my 91 240 wagon: any suggestions on spacers or any modifications I might need for the fenders. I’m running koni yellow struts upfront with billstiens in the back with ipd sport springs all around and the bigger ipd sway bar set. These are 17 x7.5.

That depends on the offset, tires and how much you want to bend up your shell.

They are 43et and I like to drive it! Tires I’m looking at maybe 225 45z, but open to the best recommendations from people with experience. So something manageable. I’m not opposed to learning how to roll fenders but would rather keep some clearance.

I have the same wheels on my 240. I think I have 1.5 in front and 2 inch in the back. In fact I believe I have a whole set of spacers left. Cause I had to buy a set of 4. Ill check and get back with you.
