Default redblock to 4L60E

Maybe someone can help me here. Ive searched and searched all I get is answer about the trans ecu's. I purchased a 03 4L60E, been built to support 600hp. Guy had build sheet on it etc. I have the GM adapter plate that adapts early gm trans to redblock and the conv. adapter that deeworks sells. Will this trans physically bolt up with these adapters? If not can I switch bellhousing out on it? I have the ecu stuff figured out but I dont have the tranny yet its being shipped. I do have a redblock I can use to mock this stuff up but dont want to do any more lifting than necessary. I appreciate any help or advice.

The bellhousing pattern is virtually the same as the TH350/TH400/700R4/etc, you're good.

It may have the top bolt hole missing. But that's no issue

whew, I was sweating.lol. I appreciate it you guys, Im excited this tranny has 1400 in parts in it and 1000 conv. plus labor building it. I got a good deal, doesnt have a transbrake but I can live without that for now. Hoping get to track before it closes, but have alot to do. I have a lift to get put up. But might put it off and do it driveway style.

I recieved trans and looks like the trans and converter is pretty solid build. Ive comfirmed that it is a LS 4L60E, it came with a Yank conv. When I slide my conv. adapter (deeworks) upon the converter snout and it bottoms out before the bolt holes connect. Plus the bolt pattern is off a smidge. The gap between the conv. and deework adapter is about .400.

I will probably take my extra block and try and mock everything up but was hoping someone could save me alot of trouble. Ive called around and have gotten no where. Some say get rid of it and get right trans others say I need different input shaft, others say cut .400 off of the conv. snout. Any advice will be grateful. The less I have to lift and move this trans around the better. I have an old brick/block layers back. LOL

that's a tall snout. can you send it to yank and ask em if they can take .425 or so off the nose? (and maybe check the converter while they've got it)

Thanks, kind of what I thought was coming. Im still gonna mock everything up tomorrow. I could probably have a local shop do it. But, like you said be nice to make sure conv. works with the ole redblock. I truly appreciate the advice, I dont like going off of my own thoughts. Seems to get me into trouble. lol
