Default Turbo manifold glowing

HI,

after 1 1/2 years not driving my 945 turbo (was not able to get the wasted spark running) I installed the original ignition system. Car started immediately. Now there is the problem that the engine doesn't run well and after a few kilometers normal driving the exhaust manifold and turbine housing where glowing.
Lambda sign is on...
What do you think? To less fuel? troubles with ignition?

I have a small hole in the intercooler which will be fixed today. Can this cause the problem? I thought the engine will run rich when air is lost after the air flow meter.

Cheers
Mathias

Iam guessing one of these two things.
1. One pissing injector adds way to much fuel,

2. Bad spark makes it somethimes miss an spark and dump unburned fuel in the exhaust

lambda measures this as overall rich and tries to trim the mixture down, which makes the other 3 injectors mega lean=hot. It cant get the mixture right within it's allowed trim and the light goes on. I've seen them both.

Check the plugs to see what the hell is going on in there.

Have you done anything to the cam? Could be your timing is off a tooth or three.

Hi,

will check the spark plugs and injectors. Also will make a test drive with wideband.

Engine was out of the car and dismantled for h-beam conrod installation.
Will check timing...

Not able to help with your issue unfortunately but I have a stock non-AC intercooler from my 945 if you can't fix yours (I switched to a KL Racing one). Let me know. I'm in O near Linz.

Did you change injectors?
Has ignition timing been verified with a timing light?

Years back when I worked at a Volvo dealer we had a Dyno.. It was not unusual for the manifolds to glow. Even the b27-b28. Most fun was when a rear tire would come apart.
