Default Has anyone used Lseat.com?

Has anyone bought new seat skins from Lseat and have photos or opinions to share? Seems like a reasonable price for someone who can't sew. I was thinking black or black/tan combo might look good with my tan interior. The black weather mats in the front already give it a nice 2-tone look

Also, are the leather and cloth seats from a 940 a different shape from each other? I'd prefer to switch to cloth skins on my currently leather seats

A friend did, said they were decent, never saw them in person.

Lseat makes a good product. I've done a couple of cars for others using the vinyl seats and have seen black leather ones in another car. They look great. Note these were for 240 Volvos. The black leather was not shinny and not as thick as the original. For that matter the vinyl covers were not as thick either as OEM but fit was good. Can't say anything about cloth or for a 900 series car but I would think they should be fine.

I put their leather front seats in my 944, with a write up of the process in my car's build thread linked below. All in all a huge upgrade over trashed seats but not as good as nice OEM ones. The material is not quite the same and the fit was a bit odd in places. Heat gun and a wet cloth helps a lot with wrinkles/baggy fit.

Their v70r and 850 seat covers are super nice. I’d venture to say that they’re nicer than Volvo Parts in some applications. Plus they do a lot of color and material options

Thanks for the reviews everybody!

I asked about material other than leather and they said they can do suede alcantara as well. Thinking about giving this material a shot. I'd like to stay away from leather

Just be aware it can be a bigger pain to clean:

I did for some recaros. Took 3 tries and 6 months to get right. Quality is good. For a stock seat I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

I recovered my pair of Recaro LS and the rear seat in my 242 with Lseat leather. The value is pretty impressive. Low price, nice quality and they fit pretty well. I think mine would look a bit better if installed by a professional, but they are pretty great for $700 all in.

Can any of you who have these post some decently high res (2k wide?) photos of them installed on your car(s) for those of us who are curious? I'm keen to see :-)

Kind of the only option for Amazon, 544, or P1800 seats in the US if you don't go custom. I am tempted to sent them the remains of my 122 seat covers so they can have the pattern.

I did see that they have 140 seats now. So that is neat.

If they use some 240 GL quality level velour. Then I can see the seat covers costing a lot of money. That GL velour is the best seat cloth ever.

I came across one seat with that in a junkyard once. I still regret not grabbing it.

Do you mean this:

That car was supposed to be parts for my 240 wagon, but my wife saw the seats and made me keep it in one piece. I'm glad she did because it's now 16v swapped (stock B234F+AW72L, RHD) and actually in decent shape except the body. The blue has really grown on me. :-)

Yes, Fred, that's the good stuff. Your wife has good taste and knows what she has.

They list their 240 front covers as 86+. Does anybody know if the pattern for a '78 is significantly different?

I'm pretty sure the pattern is different but from what I understand. The seatback shape changed in 86.

They give you a good discount if you send in old seat skins they don't have a pattern for yet. I think it was half off or something like that.
