This might be a silly question but this is my first 240 and I?m a bit lost. So I have a 1992 240 and whenever I need to shift, I have to let up off of the gas to get into the next gear. The car is an automatic and I was wondering if this is just how you drive it. Thanks!

This is not correct. Problem is most likely TV cable needs adjustment, and they're hyper-sensitive. Search AW70 throttle cable adjustment.

It's also called the kick down cable. They get corroded inside and hang up so the trans won't shift till higher rpm than normal.
