The overdrive clutch return springs all measure slightly less than the recommended OAL, about .015" . All 4 springs look good & test equal on scale. Bentley Service Manual is giving a figure of 55.5mm +- 1.5mm. If a shim same size as spring is used to correct OAL will it do harm? I searched & cannot from new springs. Thanks

I wouldn't worry about them being .015" short but if it bothers you here's a source for the springs.

Thanks, think I'm fine with the springs, did not consider heat (less than 40F) in shop when measured , sure that coil spring will expand a fair bit at room temp.
