I buy almost stock 740 turbo ic year is maybe 2004 or 2005. Many years it is only car and everyday use.

Little bit it comes more and more project car, there is b230 with spm rods/pistons 530 head with modifications oe size valves, holset hx40 super, megasquirt etc...
This engine broken and i want to move to 16v head and then it goes only project car.

Now there is only power steering pump and ac compressor which are used my old 8v engine, everything else had changed or modified.

Engine now B284FT

Bumper is now painted but no fitted. Just today i bought new EGT sensors but it takes 2 weeks to arrive here. Then we can hopefully go to the dyno and maybe after that we can fix something :-P

The word you look for is called "blueprinting". Itz a funny term because most prints would have you break the edges after manufacturing a piece, but yet this needs to be done way after the fact if you really want it to occur. Nevertheless that's sweet, and the car.... What ground effect kit did you put on it? That's going to look really nice. 1100 cc injectors. Damn what do you plan???

Ok now i know that word thanks :)

Car have 850 R front bumper, original facelift sideskirts, v90 rear bumper and OE rear "spoiler/lip".

If i someday change to E85 Ethanol that needs maybe 1500cc injectors...i thinks these 1100cc are good with pump gas and +500hp

Greetings from the USA IT

1100 cc's id think could support much more than 500 with pump gas. Are they methanol ready? Also tell me about the pistons. Are they gas ported and is that a popup in the middle of the reverse dome I'm looking at? The block almost looks sleeved. I can tell what that is at the top. It looked kinda like an oring but its not really clear what's going on there. What is the static CR with the rods and err thang you got there?

Regards
Hubert

No injectors are not methanol ready only ethanol or pump gas.

Pistons are from wiseco gas ported and there is popup middle of piston because it is so low compression height they have to do popup so rod can fit under it  there is dome around that popup yes

I buy these pistons from DLI-Teknik sweden.

Block is standard b230 without any reinforcement...i hope it last more than one dyno day

I don?t remember CR but it is somewhere 8,8:1 or 8,9:1 SORRY i calculated it again it is 8,7:1

Okay and that's about standard FWIK when heavily boosting a redblock engine. Im glad to see someone else subscribes to that piston and compression methodology on board. They tell me Im old and outdated with those reverse dome beliefs. I can live with that. You have put together a nice vehicle. It will be beautiful when the canary is finished around the front. Don't change the color. Its classic R sht. If the popup puts the shoulder pins high up in the piston it become now a Paul Bugal hanger type piston design that less prone to rocking, scuffing, the piston in its bore. Paul Bugal wan an artist and 2 stroke engine maker from back in the day who examined the effect of shoulder pin placement in the piston and how it affected its relationship to the bore.

I choose that colour when we paint it (original colour are 603 Ivory white...there is no better colour on old RWD brick than Cream yellow IMO...everyones think this is FWD because the colour and front bumper are robbed from 850 T5-R

I know that is problem with big stroke and low comp. piston, there is scratch on exhaust side with low mileage...this is not daily so i hope i can drive many summer with this (if i can get it working someday) when that scratching is problem i change block

What I'm trying to relay in the photo is that you having a high shoulder pin in your piston you shouldn't have this issue as stability is brought to the piston in the bore with a "hanger piston" type design. I'd rather have the longer stroke because the angles become less abrupt. I think that helps mitigate radial forces in relation to the bore. To have it move only axially and as concentrically to the bore as possible is the goal. That stress reduction should help hold the motor together better under high load.

Hows the weather in Finland. U guys got a hold on cvd19 yet?

I think i have little bit of that problem because piston speed is very fast on this engine. With this piston its better than most of standard pistons and big stroke.

Weather in Finland...summer is coming and 9-25c degrees. Now here is raining maybe next 2 weeks :-(

Covid is here like everywhere...in Finland they will vaccined 45 years old now, old peoples and risk groups are already got vaccination. Everything is almost like normal here but no any big group gatherings are allowed.

How about covid in America?

OMG its supposed to be coming around but the messages from the top seem to change daily. They say they can remove mask if they have been vaccinated but most people are still wearing their mask. I think its smart because select groups didn't want to wear mask ever and are going to remove them despite not being vaccinated with this ok not really for them. For them its an issue of their American alienable rights :-P and we believe in an "honor system". That will be our downfall I'm most afraid because these "true" Americans I know you have seen you've seen on your Finnish screens wont have any honor in it...

Hello IT. U see its all the same here. Your international TV is real. The motor and car look great. Its ok to continue sharing. I posted the photo here so they could see your ride. The s60 is also very clean. What wheels does it don? I also have the T6 and V8 awd 80s They are fun.... Life's great.... :-D

Check out this link and what is said there about the fastest Bmw, and Viper and Volvos in your country and what management systems they are running. Dynotuned sporttiauto also knows what the phone world lacks. Im sure over there you will not find a tuner that has used it that will tell you its trash at any year. At its inception it was already years ahead with plenty of room to spare its appears. You could if you needed to build a map completely from the ground up and have it running in an hour or so. Most times it base setting idles better than the factory. It has traction control anti lag etc....you will not find any poor reviews on the products from the top notch European tuners that have used them. Im sure you like your current setup I just wanted you aware of what Autronic actually does and the tuners in your countries view of it. Ask around because the phone world here clearly does not know.

"Suomessa useassa huippuluokan Outlaw- ja Street-luokan Dragracing-autossa on Autronic SM4 ECU ja Autronic 500R CDI.

Autronicilla on my?s voitettu Suomen mestaruuksia mm. Driftingiss?, Formula 3:ssa ja Tractor Pullingissa. Suomen nopein Volvo V40 on varustettu SM4:lla. Suomen tehokkain Dodge Viper on varustettu SM4:lla. Suomen tehokkain BMW on varustettu SM4:lla"

S60R is now ready and i get it to back home on Friday :bouncy:

first of July i go in dyno with S60R and let?s have a look what we got...i hope there is more power than stock :-P i think think first problem is stock clutch but let see what happens.

S60R wheels are Alfa Romeo Stelvio?s 20" Oem wheels :)

Still waiting 740 egt sensors from Great Britain...hope we can have these soon.

Only modification what i have done on 740 is carbon fiber rear spoiler, i?ll take pictures when new rear lid are painted.

This compressor wheel what we now put in kkk k24 is the same high flow wheel what Viva Performance sell, they say there is possible to have 420hp with original 12-blade tubine wheel but i don?t think that is possible and now we are changed 9-blade high flow turbine wheel to help that little tiny exhaust side to breath.

I hope we have more than stock but that original clutch are restrictive component...and maybe original size injectors too :-( we take all what we can with these parts

My friend Janne has driven S60 couple days now and make tests so when i get that back there is no problems we hope so :-P

Everything seems working quite well and turbo spools up like original let see when i have first drive then i can say how does it feel.

I speak with my turbo specialist and he say there is maybe little later spool because that compressor wheel are so much bigger than original and exhaust are same size than original but what Janne says there is no difference at all what is very interesting

EDIT:
Yellow 740?s egt sensor are now finally here. I post pictures of these and more of that car when i go next time to my garage...it is 25km there where i live.

This is excellent news. Im sure you are excited to drive it. I think the 5 injectors could support it. I guess you will find out. Maybe some type of antilag could be used. Question?? are you using a CBV or BOV on the S60? Does a BOV maintain spooling better than a CBV? I don't know.
