Burn down tubes. These engines requre a lot of crankcase venting and they vent all the way to a large box in the trunk. If it ever smokes a piston it all vents to the box behind the rear tires preventing any oil getiing underneath the tires during a pass.

Yeah I was with them for the whole mega cash days race in Nebraska. They actually sent me to FuelTech school when I first installed it on the car and have been tuning it ever since. We busted our asses prepping for that deal but never guessed we would win the whole thing. Experience of a lifetime for sure and really weird seeing myself on street outlaws.

Anyway I picked up another 242 as a daily driver and I'm completely in love with it. It has drivers side damage but I'm in the process of getting another door and fender for it. No immediate plans for it until my datsun is done but just glad to be back in a 242.

Got a door and fender, had to weld up the bumper tirm holes on the fender and copy the holes on the wrecked fender. Door needed a little rust repair but its done and getting painted by our body guy. Also got some style 5's redrilled by a friend and another friend is polishing the barrels for me. Took a few coils out of the front springs so it wasnt pointed at the sky. Hopefully it will all come together in a few weeks when the parts are painted and wheels are done.

Made some progress on the Datsun too. Decided to cut the factory front end off and just continue with the chassis. I was set on long travel front struts for no prep racing, it was a little challenging to get it all to work but it came out good and got the motor placement where I wanted.

Some pics of some more zoomies I built at work that came out really nice too.
