Chicagoland Cruise - December 23rd 2007

IllinoisEuro.com an Illinois based European car forum I'm on is having a Cruise on the 23rd, and anyone and everyone is invited to come out, they don't need to have a European car, and it looks to be a good one! Come join us for a good fun Cruise!

****NEW STARTING LOCATION****
NORTH AVE BEACH PARKING LOT
Just east of Lake Shore Drive and Lasalle Ave.

each car must pay a $6 entrance fee. Not only is it a big lot, this is now legal...

we have this lot from 9:20 to 10:20


This is still going to be a GREAT meet, just a new loaction and a small fee so that we can use a SWEET parking lot right on the lake!



From there we will make our way north. We wont be spending too much time in the city because of traffic. This cruise is a good one guys.

The meet will end up in the Glen in Glenview.

I pass. Don't want to go down there in my personal car if I don't have to... But I'd take a bus if I could.

Driving in downtown with a bus is way more tolerable than with a car. I make cabs move. And I can see over practically all the traffic.

I helped to plan this cruise guys, it's definitely gonna be fun. It'd be nice to see some more Volvos out there in the crowd.

Do you drive a van galder bus??? I go to school at UW-madison right now and i've taken it back to o'hare a couple times, what's your name, maybe you've driven me and I haven't known haha?

i wont know what my schedule is till probably that day...so it'll be last minute for me.

Probably won't make it as it will get too late for me. These old bones need the beauty rest to make it in for a 4am shift. And yes I have to work xmas eve day and new Year's eve!

Sure do. Name's Travis Hageman. I typically drive charters, so I dont do the line run much... but ive done it plenty. I'm the young bus driver. If you haven't had a young bus driver, then you haven't had me.

Too friggin many people walking around down town to get anywhere... I was down there twice last week.

The majority of the downtown driving we'll be doing is just getting to the starting point. Once the cruise starts, we won't spend much time in the city. It basically goes north along the lake.

UPDATE: After talking to the Chicago Park District for 2 weeks i got a what i wanted for a small price.

so were driving downtown, then to glenview, a bit short isnt it? im still down tho, as long as i have a car, atleast a euro

and ill c what i can do about it being a volvo!

It doesn't go straight to glenview It actually goes all the way to Lake Forest then back south.
