240 Lower control arm issue?

So I got two new LCAs and saw that the round bushing plate seems to be welded on at an angle (on both arms). My intuition says that they should be perpendicular?
Are they supposed to be that way?

I don't even consider myself a good welder and my welds aren't that ugly. But yeah, some persuasion if needed and it should be oK. As long as the actual part that the bushing slides onto is straight with respect to the control arm pivoting.
 
I believe what maters is that the stud is exactly in line with the forward pivot. However, if the control arm is angled to this axis you may have caster difference with the opposite side.
