Just saying, lol

Most of this is correct, however "高齢者マーク" (koreisha mark) is for old people. It used to be a yellow and orange tear drop shape, but now it's a four leaf clover looking design with a light and dark Green added into the mix. It's suggested for 70-74 year old drivers, and mandatory for 75 and up.

Shoshinsha is to demarcate a *young* and/or inexperienced driver, mandatory for 1 year after obtaining their license. EDIT: It's also more informally known as a Wakaba (若葉) mark.

(Personally i think it's a good system)

“The dying leaf” as they are known locally.

Actually, Some old drivers prefer to use the koreisha mark because they don’t want to be tagged as “old” yet still want people to be aware around them.

I'm wanting to mount some Arrakis on my 744 for various reasons.

I've got the 25mm H&R adaptors from IPD.

Stock tires for Arrakis appear to be ~ 235/45 R17. Can anyone confirm that this would be OK on a 744? Not lowered.

I know that the outer diameter might be a bit bigger. Stock was 195/60 R15 on Dracos I think, or 615mm. Arrakis could be 235/45 R17 at 643mm or perhaps 225/45 R17 at 634mm which would be closer to Dracos. Anyways, anyone running Arrakis on 744 right now have any comments?

TY in advance

Edit: Sorry to necro this thread :p Looks like it has been a few days over a year :)

This might be my answer, not sure! ---

what would I need to get to fit Volvo Arrakis wheels on my 1990 740? and what size tires would fit without rubbing? im on IPD lowering springs.

You need spacers. Ipd sells 25 mm which I use for my Propus C's. I'm lowered as well and using 225/50/17. Only at full lock will I get very little rub.

A little bit of tuck with 25 mm in the rear but easier set up and won't have to roll fenders.
