Question T6 engine swap and build 242

I know a bunch of swedes have done a T6 swap on our Volvo's many of times but when i try to search on here, the search engine cant find a match for anything i search up so i thought id create a thread to answer a few of my questions. I was in the middle of building up a B230ft for my 242 but have dropped interest in the engine as i want to go a bit more unique and over the top with the engine swap. Its beginning to be winter time so its the perfect time.
My questions for building a T6 engine is specifically what block and head to go with? I will be changing the rods and pistons if i can find a aftermarket set, but my main fear is the block cracking like on T5 engines. Id prefer to pick up a T6 with vvti as ill be going with an aftermarket ecu to run it. Are any of the T6 blocks closed deck? Will i need to have a blackguard installed to close off the block for bigger power goals?
Also i have found what i believe to be bolt in motor mounts for a T5/T6 into a 240 but can anyone confirm they are bolt in or if they are weld in like other options ive found. Ive tried enailing the company with no response.

Link to the motor mounts (https://www.anderssonsteelspeed.se/p...r-std-lutning/).

I'm roughly wanting to aim for 500-550whp with this build so any insight with T6's would be appreciated. i have the fuel system and ecu already, i just dont have the knowledge needed on T6 engines like i do with T5 and b230ft's.

Have you considered the bmw m50-52-54 series? Closed deck blocks, decent bolt-up manual trans options without the need for adapters. Use e36 oil pan and it’s a near drop in.

There’s a company that makes mounts to bolt then into a 240. https://www.speedingparts.com/p/chas...m52tu-m54.html

The guy you want to speak to.

I contacted ASS directly about buying from them, but they directed me to LMR to buy the mounts there. Which I did and they arrived quickly. They are already assembled and just bolted in (at least for my red block mounts)

The early 6 has smaller bore (81 vs 83mm?) - was in the 99-01 S80 in NA I believe. None of the 6's have a closed deck.

In your planning, what transmission & rear axle / suspension mods have you looked at? 500wheel would be much torque for a 240 chassis to transfer.

I'm also into a T6 swap. Lankku is the best source but I'll be glad to help if I can!
