Sunday March 27th.

For the location I am thinking something central so I like the idea of the Tim Hortons parking lot on united boulevard in coquitlam. Some time in the morning/mid afternoon. The parking lot is quite big and there is an empty lot behind it that is a shipping warehouse that has space for cars if we were to need it. We could arrange a little cruise around afterwards.

Cars and coffee rwd volvo style.
Let me know what you guys think. We can hash out details then I will start reaching out to the guys I know that are not here.

I'd like to guarantee I'll be in, but Naomi and I just bought a house, and that's nearing our possession date. I'll try to make it, as this may be my last official chance to be part of the Vancity crew. We're moving to the island.

Not the island!! My mom and step dad are trying to escape there also. Where did you guys buy?

You best try and make this meet then, since it will be cheaper for me to drive from Edmonton to Van for a meet, than it will for you to take the ferry across for a meet!

Hey Jordan, we're moving to Duncan... we've been looking for the last year in the Cowichan valley and finally found one that ticks most of our boxes and was still vaguely affordable. The market is stupid over there, I presume driven by all the schmucks like me who are no longer tethered to an office and are fleeing Vancouver. We're budgeting for monthly trips currently, so there's always a chance I'll be back occasionally...

Duncan is nice. My wife is originally from Ladysmith, so we're over there fairly frequently. Goal is to transfer over to the island at some point.

That is exactly where my parents want to be. A bunch of their friends have sold and moved to the Duncan area in the last couple of years.

They've been talking about moving for probably 5 years now though. I'm not sure when they actually will. Probably still be another 5 years at the rate they "prepare the house for sale".

Congratulations! That area is nice, I hear. Will miss having you more local though!

Sounds like the thread will eventually be "Vancity Island Volvos and the Occasional Fraser Valley Schmuck"

I've got a few 86+ grills. I'm not sure of the condition (I'll dig thrm out tonight, but I'll grab the nicest one and it's yours if you want. I can bring it by this weekend.

Will your wagon be ready for the 27th?

yea 86+

thanks Leivon!

no need for NOS... gently used would suit my car better. lol

yea Wagon is on the road once again... some little gremlins popped up but nothing major...

finally getting around to other things... like making short shifter... cut weld, installing bronze shift bushings, and the shift pins and collar.

Unloading some of my horde of transmissions. I have a pair of m46s, one iron 240 era, one aluminum 740 era (this one is basically parts as I did the unforgivable picking it without a bellhousing and popped the input shaft out). There's a smattering of shifter stuff for both 2xx and 7xx cars. No crossmembers or driveshafts.
$100 for all, you pick up. Or 80 bucks if you're willing to take a sh!tty aw70 to the recyclers at the same time and save me a trip.
M.

PS I've got a 350 chevy / t56 and a ton of tpi stuff on Flakeslist for yard sale prices. If someone on here is interested in it I'll go even lower...

PPS Also a non-running '78 Goldwing with a stand.
