240 Door latch/window lift etc compatibility?

Do the later more square style arm rests fit in a car that came with the early style angled arm rests? Are the mounting holes in the same spots? (Manual windows)

I know that aspect is different in the pre80 cars.

More thinking of just picking up a 240 that otherwise would be heading to pnp heaven and using that to rebuild the inner doorworkings (again, window lifts, tracks, door latch and linkage etc)

There is one small difference on the '86- drivers door lock. You can't push the button down with the door open. You have to lock it with the key. It's so you can't lock your keys in the car.

My '87 absolutely lets you lock your keys in... but it does have a replacement door.
