Default HKS Electronic Boost Contrlr

Ok so I see the norm is MBC on this site for Volvos. I have an HKS EVC that has been sitting around collecting dust for the past 10yrs or so. I want to hook it up to my 91 780.....I know I have the turbo+ thingy going on ,but I want control over my boost. Stage 0 done. Turbo is new with 0 shaft play. Motor run strong.does anyone have any experience suggestions, warnings or any input for the matter before I engage on this mission!

Do it. Most people here run MBCs, because EBCs are typically cost prohibitive on a shoestring and ziptie budget. If you have one, run it.

Might want to remove the Turbo+ kit though, since that's essentially the same thing just non-adjustable.

Should just be power and ground for the control box, and then running the wires out to the solenoid, yes?

I'd just take the turbo+ off completely.

Yes, as noted above. Turbo+ is a simple fixed EBC system; it allows 12psi of boost for several seconds, then dials back to about 10psi. Effective but also annoying.

HKS EBC is good, little overrated, but good. The older ones are more solid, as there were less produced, and their product line was good. SSQV BOV is the same way. I know of a few Subie guys around here that run the older models because they are solid performers.
