Default 16v brake booster and ABS delete in a 740

Undo brake lines from abs unit and bend them around and get junction block from earlier 7 series and plug them into that.

That's rather unfortunate you deleted your ABS.

ehhh, abs is good for "oh ****" kind situations out on the road but if you're a good enough driver and it's a track car, you can justify getting rid of it.

or, alternatively, you can just drive a car that doesn't have it at all. =p

I'm more scared driving cars with ABS than without.

I want to know too. The roads in Texas are ice free 364 days of the year.

usually it gets touchy... you bearly press the pedel and the pedal starts pulsing and pushing back at you and you cant stop worth a damn. where-as without abs it would have been a easy stop. i also hate abs in the winter on volvo 240's 740's 940's i own 240's both ways.. with and without. like it much better without.

Anti Lock Brakes are the stupidest automobile innovation since Air Bags!
Hell,
While you are at it, Ditch the Power break booster and power steering!

Its only the right thing to do. (its what I did)

I used to love the ABS on my '89 and '90 740 GL's, but then after that I was forced into driving an old suzuki swift with no abs, power nothing, and tiny tiny little pizza-cutter-wheel tires with no grip. Spent a lot of time sliding around in winter on nasty roads. Learnt how to threshold brake. Then got a work car that had no ABS either, and this was a car that was only three years old as well. Learning to threshold brake really paid off in numerous seriously nasty near-misses, usually involving Ford Falcons and Land Cruisers crossing multiple lanes without indicating.

Now my new '88 Turbo wagon has no ABS, first time driving a 7 series without it. I'm a little conflicted. Not sure if I really miss it or not. I do enjoy having total control, but I also know how damn well the 740's I owned before pulled up in a panic situation

Let me just make sure I'm absolutely clear. You think air bags, ABS, power assisted brakes and steering, are all bad innovations. Is this correct?
