Can someone post pictures of an 86+ 240 with a flathood. I would like to see what the 86+ cowl looks like with the flat hood.

Thanks

There is a pic of Aplitz's car in this thread. Looks good to my eyes.

Here's a close up of another car.

I agree that the hood and cowl clearly don't line up, but nobody outside a true Volvoista will ever notice. The alternatives for a nice looking front end on a US spec '86+ and the reality of the extra work involved in converting to the old cowl really make it the best option. I did briefly consider sectioning the high hood to have a similar leading edge as the flathood, but I tried the flathood first, and realizeed the alignment isn't that bad.

That's an excellent point. the work required to make it right would be extensive. And at first glance, it looks like a great improvement and most nobody in the world will really notice.

But I always notice little crap like that on my own cars, and it irritates the hell out of me. After a while, I'd get fed up and have to change it. But then again, I've been running around with a flat single round grill along with my original hood for over a month now, and that's much more obvious looking than a mis-aligned cowl bodyline, so maybe I shouldn't talk! HAHA

Good looking car, BTW.

 Like your front spoiler?

lol that follows the lines just fine, its a boxy swedish aftermarket. just being honest, many will agree that the hood doesnt line up... but regarding my body kit.
