    Jim, the daiphragm is actually on the turbo, not the IAC. Please let me know if I am misunderstanding your question. the CBV or blow off valve is the thing on the turbo itself, with the vacuum lune going to it.

    Jim here, i believe we may be experiencing the same volvo problem. My 91 745T has been doing the same thing as yours for about 2 yrs. Was told it was my IAC. Tried similar cures as yours. I,m afraid I don't remember, what is the IAC with the diaphragm. Any help will be appreciated. jim haskins
