It lives! Low buck 240DL->240 Turbo swap

Now with B-cam. The idle is really mean when cold. It's probably not supposed to be that way, but no IAC means no compensation from the ECU. Idle vacuum is weirdly low though, the needle bounces between 10 and 13.

Compared to the old VX3 and M cams, it is a night and day difference. It has more low end and overall oomph than the VX3 for sure. The M felt like it peaked around 3,000rpm, this one builds and builds. It feels like it gives me better low end torque than the M cam too :omg:

Update! The 3" downpipe has been completed. My welds look awful, I haven't welded in years, but they are strong and that's what matters. Also, I recently purchased a megasquirt box from one of our members, it's set up for sequential fuel injection and coil-per-plug ignition. I'll be megasquirting this thing early next year for more powah and more efficiency!

Here's a video of my exhaust sound, taken with my spankin' new Blackberry Torch.

I also got a cool new sticker:

Finally lowered it yesterday. 2.5 coils off the front. The rear will wait for a set of good shocks. For now it will keep a mean rake.

Picture taken with my phone, at night, after work. New photoshoot coming soon.

Went to the drag strip tonight, I am 7470. Only got 2 runs in due to people blowing stuff up all night. I forgot to turn OD off for the first run. 2nd run was brake boosted to 7psi off the line and went very smoothly. These will be my last runs on LH2.2, next time I go to the strip I will be running megasquirt with sequential injection and COP ignition.

You can actually hear the injectors and valves clicking away now with the fan off.

What boost was the 14.7 pass on?

16psi, brake boosted to ~5psi for launch. On the 15s pass, I forgot to turn the OD off
Those runs were the last my AW70 could take, it was shifting funny and slipping in 3rd. It was destroyed the next week.

Are you still running the chrysler ignition, or have you done the ezk swap ?
was it drivable with the chrysler ignition ?

I did the EZK swap a long time ago, but to be honest, I didn't notice any real difference in performance. The Chrysler ignition's more aggressive ignition curve doesn't seem to be an issue with a low-compression engine like mine, but I've heard that people with later, higher compression motors have detonation issues with it while under boost.

NPR Intercooler acquired.

I installed it right after the UPS guy delivered it, and noticed a difference in throttle response and spool immediately. Power seems to have increased as well, but I haven't done a proper test yet because boost and AFRs increased and I have to adjust my MBC to compensate. I also noticed that my flutter is slower and louder with the new IC :oogle:.

Sweet horn, I found one similar and regret not buying it. NPR=jelly

also, I like 'turbo cool'

I was going to make my trunk lid say 'Turbo erection' but idk how my work would feel about it.
