I'm looking to have a truetrac (588) installed in the diff of my 90' Volvo 240. Fairly positive this is a 1031 axle, as it is a later model 240. Also, the axle has 245k miles, so I believe it might make sense to replace the bearings while it is apart.
So far I have the Truetrac 588 from Summit:
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/dtl-912a588
And a Dana 30 differential rebuild kit from RockAuto:
https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=10490784&cc=1287031&pt=2224&jsn=2724
Questions:
- Is this the correct diff rebuild kit for the 1031? (I find it strange that it lists as fitting both the earlier Volvo 240's which came with 1030 axles and the later models which came with 1031 axles.)
- Are there any other parts I will need that I am not considering?
Thanks for the help!
